Your new company We are partnering with an established General Contractor to hire an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee projects throughout Eastern North Carolina. This is a great opportunity for a Superintendent with strong ground-up commercial and/or federal construction experience who is comfortable taking ownership of projects in the field and driving them safely from mobilization through closeout.
Your new role
- Manage the day-to-day field operations of commercial and federal projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and site logistics.
- Maintain project schedules and keep work progressing on time.
- Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
- Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage site documentation, scheduling, punch lists, and project closeout.
- Identify field issues early and drive practical solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor.
- Strong background in commercial, institutional, or federal/government construction.
- Ground-up project experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to independently run projects and coordinate multiple trades.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, and sequencing.
- Excellent subcontractor management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on projects throughout Eastern North Carolina.
