Bradenton Family & Implant Dentistry is looking for a highly experienced, confident, and dependable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running, is comfortable with a variety of dental procedures, and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. What You'll Do
- Assist the dentist with a variety of general and restorative dental procedures.
- Perform expanded functions within Florida's permitted scope of practice.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures.
- Use Dentrix for patient charting, treatment documentation, and clinical workflows.
- Educate patients on procedures, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
- Maintain an organized, efficient clinical environment.
- Work closely with the dentist and team to keep the schedule running smoothly and support office production goals.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive dental assisting experience required, preferably in a fast-paced general dentistry practice.
- Strong Dentrix experience required.
- Florida-recognized expanded functions training and credentials appropriate to the duties performed.
- Strong clinical skills and confidence assisting with restorative procedures.
- Ability to work independently, anticipate the dentist's needs, and stay organized.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
- A dependable, positive team player who takes ownership of their role.
- Implant dentistry experience is a plus!
