Volunteer Orthodontics is looking for a friendly, experienced, and motivated Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team in Nashville, TN! We're looking for someone who loves working with patients, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in helping create beautiful smiles. If you have orthodontic experience, a positive attitude, and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do

• Assist the orthodontist with daily procedures and patient care.
• Perform orthodontic assisting duties, including changing wires, placing and removing ligatures, and preparing patients for adjustments, as permitted by Tennessee regulations.
• Take impressions, scans, photographs, and X-rays as qualified and authorized.
• Educate patients on orthodontic treatment, appliances, and oral hygiene.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain proper sterilization and infection control.
• Keep accurate patient records and assist with efficient patient flow.
• Work closely with the team to create a positive and comfortable patient experience.

What We're Looking For

• Previous orthodontic assisting experience required.
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and appliances.
• Tennessee dental assisting qualifications and applicable certifications for assigned duties.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A friendly, dependable, and team-oriented personality.
• Someone who takes initiative, enjoys staying busy, and is eager to continue learning.
