LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Graduation from high school or equivalent. 2. Current licensure as a Practical Nurse by the Florida Board of Nursing. 3. Pediatric experience preferred. REPORTS TO: Principal POSITION GOAL: To provide practical nursing duties necessary for health assistance and first aide to students enrolled in exceptional student education programs. ** ** PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide nursing care to students. 2. Administer first aid to students. 3. Assist with hearing, vision and health screening. 4. Review student immunization records. 5. Assist in school health activities which may include in-service for parents, teachers and other school staff. 6. Provide follow-up assistance in securing medical and dental care for students. 7. Maintain records and student incident reports as necessary. 8. Assist in maintenance of medical supplies. 9. Assist in monitoring medications. 10. Clean work area. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten months
