Position Title: Maintenance Tech
Education/Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of shop tools.
- Vo-tech training in HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Carpentry or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Skills/Requirements:
- Ability to use testing instruments.
- Knowledge of general carpentry practices
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, Electrical & Plumbing.
- Ability to read/understand blueprints.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations on various types of equipment. HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & appliances will be the main focus of repairs.
- Repair issues with equipment once an issue is isolated.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in Villa/Apartment/Health Care room make-ready's.
- General upkeep of property. This includes painting, light carpentry, campus trash removal and landscaping.
Physical demands:
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
- Be able to walk over 15,000 steps per day.
- The majority of tasks performed are inside of climate-controlled areas but occasionally we must work on equipment outside and be exposed to sever weather conditions for short periods of time.
- Be able to climb ladders/stairs.
Other Pertinent Facts:
- Must be able to assist in after hour work call-ins on occasion.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- We provide ALL required tools.
- Must be able to work some weekends when scheduled person is off.
Supervisory Controls:
Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
