Job Summary
Travelling to customer sites to perform a variety of installation and repair work. The ideal candidates will be located near Duffield, VA, Central Florida, Dallas or San Antonio TX, Baton Rouge or Lafayette, LA. Technicians are typically assigned to territories near their home base, allowing them to live within their local region while supporting customers in the surrounding area. We do not require relocation.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be willing to travel up to 4 weeks at a time (98%)
- Interprets engineering drawings, electrical control prints, and schematics
- Operates all power equipment as required to complete required work (battery operated hand tools, power saws, crimping tools, scarifier, air tools, sprayers, etc.)
- Installs air conditioning equipment, cable ladder systems, hoods, battery systems, waveguide entries, halo ground systems and other types of grounding systems
- Assembles, repairs, or paints doors & locks as needed
- Completes framing, sheathing, trim work, and floor tile installation
- Makes minor concrete repairs and applies coatings & finishings to concrete buildings
- Performs job tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Comfortable working overtime hours as needed (10-hour days up to 7 days a week)
- Other duties may be assigned according to customer agreements and requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license
- Knowledge of electrical wiring standards (NEC)
- HVAC exposure in residential or commercial environments
- Framing and finishing experience
- Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Comfortable with instructions that are verbal, written, or presented in a diagram format
Salary Range: $25.00 - $38.00 hourly
