Like shopping at Trader Joe's? Then, maybe you'll love working with us. We are looking for an experienced Mate who is searching to do what they'll love! Do you have experience as a section leader? Do you love food? If so, read on! We may have the role of a lifetime for you!
Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified Quality Control Crew has at least 1 year of Mate experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A High School degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our distribution center in Fontana, CA and will have a schedule of 5:00AM to 1:30PM 5 days a week with off days on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. This is an 18 month assignment.
The Quality Control Crew is responsible for:
- Conducting thorough inspections of fresh cooler items according to current specification sheets.
- Accurately documenting inspection findings and escalate non-conformities to Quality Control Manager.
- Utilizing designated systems for logging inspections and tracking corrective actions.
- Participating in ongoing training to maintain up-to-date knowledge of quality standards and procedures.
- Adhering strictly to all warehouse policies, safety guidelines and operational protocols.
- Check in with senior World Class Distribution (WCD) management when directed by the Quality Control Manager.
- Supporting implementation of corrective actions as directed by the Quality Control Manager.
- Working collaboratively with other departments.
The Quality Control Crew has:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Mate with previous experience as a Section Leader.
- Deep product knowledge in perishable categories and what is acceptable to sell and what should be shared.
- Experience with product reviews.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- The ability to be a self starter, flexible and able to work independently.
