MUMPS Developer
Overview
The Clozapine Decom REMS team supports mission-critical capabilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs within the Patient Care product line. As a MUMPS Developer, SR, you will help deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the full software lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate mission needs into measurable outcomes, manage technical and delivery risks, and support high-quality releases.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS or InterSystems IRIS solutions, integrations, routines, globals, and application components as applicable.
- Analyze existing code and workflows, implement maintainable enhancements, and preserve compatibility with established VistA conventions.
- Support database and interface changes, data validation, patch creation, packaging, release, installation, and post-deployment verification.
- Collaborate with analysts, testers, infrastructure teams, and VA stakeholders to resolve defects and operational issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment evidence, test results, and sustainment procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS, or comparable clinical/government health IT development experience.
- Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions, data structures, interfaces, testing, and production support.
- Experience with patch creation and the VistA patch release, packaging, installation, and verification process.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable.
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs, federal health IT, or other regulated healthcare programs.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and collaborative Agile delivery tools.
- Experience with VistA patch development and release processes, InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or VA Pharmacy applications.
Pay Range
Pay range: $70,000.00–$120,000.00 (annual)
