Job Title: Renewable Project Engineer Location: Minneapolis, MN Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $50.00 - $53.50 per hour Work Model: Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Support wind farms as a capital engineer/project manager/project lead.
- Manage reliability and capital projects.
- Coordinate fleet initiatives across multiple wind farms.
- Financial management of projects.
- Scheduling, planning, contractor coordination, documentation, and project execution.
- Coordinate with operations managers and reliability engineers across 16 wind farms in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa.
- Manage both planned and emergent capital projects.
- Coordinate contractors, schedules, budgets, purchasing, project documentation, and project execution.
- Support project planning, financial tracking, and communication between field and office stakeholders.
- Occasional travel to wind farm sites.
- Work includes visits to active operating facilities and construction sites.
Requirements
- Project management experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Engineering background (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management and business systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred)
- ABET-accredited degree preferred/expected pending final confirmation.
- PMP certification preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
