Introduction
About SymphonyAI Financial Services
SymphonyAI Financial Services is on a mission to make the financial system safer. We combine more than 25 years of financial crime expertise with advanced AI to help financial institutions detect risk, fight financial crime, and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
We are reimagining financial crime compliance around connected risk intelligence, agent-led workflows, and embedded governance, helping institutions strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and adapt as risks evolve.
About The Role
Great architecture gives teams the confidence to modernize complex environments without losing control of security, resilience, or regulatory requirements. That’s where you come in.
As a Principal Solution Architect, you’ll lead architecture across multiple strategic client programs, from shaping the technical vision to setting the patterns and standards that guide delivery. You’ll solve complex architecture problems across cloud, data, integration, AI, and regulatory platforms while advising client CIO and CTO teams and working closely with engagement leaders, Product, Engineering, and delivery teams.
You’ll also define how LLM, RAG, vector retrieval, and other AI capabilities are introduced and governed in production. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll set architecture direction across the practice, influence strategic client outcomes, and help other architects grow.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture. Own architecture direction across multiple strategic client programs and make clear technical trade-offs within your mandate.
- Set the standard. Define reference architectures, reusable integration patterns, and governance standards that teams can apply across client programs.
- Modernize complex systems. Design scalable solutions across cloud, data, integration, AI, financial crime, regulatory, and core banking environments.
- Build for production. Ensure solutions meet requirements for security, resilience, scalability, performance, observability, and maintainability.
- Put AI to work responsibly. Define architecture patterns and production standards for LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, model integration, monitoring, and governance.
- Advise senior clients. Work with client CIO and CTO teams on modernization strategy, architecture decisions, risks, and priorities.
- Shape strategic opportunities. Support proposals, RFP responses, discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and technical sales discussions.
- Connect delivery and product. Bring client and implementation insight to Product and Engineering to influence platform scalability, roadmap decisions, and technical strategy.
- Help others grow. Develop IC3 and IC4 architects and strengthen architecture practices across the team.
You may be a good fit if you have
- 12+ years of enterprise technology experience with architecture leadership across strategic client programs.
- Strong enterprise architecture skills across cloud, data, integration, AI platforms, and distributed systems.
- Financial services experience across banking, financial crime, risk, regulatory reporting, or other regulated environments.
- A track record of setting direction. You have led architecture across multiple programs and established standards and governance used by delivery teams.
- Modernization experience. You have designed solutions across on-premise, hosted, hybrid, and SaaS environments.
- Strong cloud and deployment knowledge across AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP, along with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
- Integration and data platform experience with REST APIs, messaging, event-driven systems, Kafka, Spark, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Practical enterprise AI experience. You have designed or led production solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, model endpoints, monitoring, or AI governance.
- Executive stakeholder skills. You can explain complex trade-offs clearly, advise senior client and internal leaders, and build alignment around decisions.
- An ownership mindset. You can set architecture direction across programs while staying close enough to delivery to resolve the hardest technical challenges.
Strong candidates may also have
- Experience leading enterprise AI architecture programs in financial services.
- Experience with regulatory reporting or core banking systems.
- Experience with data governance, master data management, or enterprise analytics platforms.
- Experience with enterprise middleware and application servers such as JBoss, WebSphere, or WildFly.
- TOGAF or a comparable enterprise architecture certification.
