Introduction

About SymphonyAI Financial Services SymphonyAI Financial Services is on a mission to make the financial system safer. We combine more than 25 years of financial crime expertise with advanced AI to help financial institutions detect risk, fight financial crime, and navigate an increasingly complex regulatory environment. We are reimagining financial crime compliance around connected risk intelligence, agent led workflows, and embedded governance, helping institutions strengthen controls, reduce manual effort, and adapt as risks evolve. About The Role Complex financial crime programs need a delivery leader who can connect technical decisions, regulatory expectations, and measurable customer outcomes. That’s where you come in. As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you’ll own medium to large SensaAI and NetReveal programs from kickoff through production go-live and hypercare. You’ll lead multiple workstreams across AI, data, engineering, and customer teams while holding accountability for scope, budget, delivery quality, regulatory readiness, and customer confidence. You’ll bring enough technical and financial crime fluency to challenge model architecture, data lineage, explainability, tuning, and parallel-run design without relying on a translator. This is a senior individual contributor role where you’ll resolve cross-program escalations, build governance that executives rely on, and help other project managers grow.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own complex delivery. Lead multiple concurrent deployments or one multi-stream program with significant budget responsibility from kickoff through go-live and hypercare.
  • Make the solution production-ready. Challenge technical assumptions across AI models, data pipelines, rules, integrations, model evaluation, explainability, data lineage, and parallel-run design.
  • Lead with regulatory rigor. Plan delivery around SR 11-7, SS1/23, and equivalent expectations, and produce model risk evidence packs, validation summaries, and audit-ready documentation.
  • Run disciplined programs. Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, dependencies, change control, vendors, and fixed-price contract trade-offs across regions and workstreams.
  • Put AI to work. Design AI-enabled delivery processes and use AI for planning, status synthesis, risk analysis, evidence preparation, and quality checks with appropriate privacy, governance, and human review.
  • Guide senior stakeholders. Partner with bank program leads, financial crime operations, model reviewers, IT leaders, business sponsors, and external partners; lead clear steering committee materials and decision forums.
  • Measure value in production. Establish outcomes such as alert reduction, investigator productivity, decision quality, and total cost of compliance, and use evidence to shape customer expansion conversations.
  • Raise the delivery standard. Create reusable playbooks, accelerators, tuning patterns, governance templates, and MRM evidence assets adopted across the practice.
  • Develop project leaders. Mentor Technical Project Managers and help IC3 colleagues build the judgment, delivery discipline, and stakeholder presence needed for broader ownership.

You may be a good fit if you have

  • 8 years or more of delivery experience with ownership of medium to large enterprise technology programs, including multiple production deployments and responsibility for substantial budgets.
  • 5 years or more of technical project management experience leading cross-functional teams across AI, data, engineering, customer IT, and business operations.
  • Deep technical fluency. You can credibly assess AI and data architecture, model evaluation, data pipelines, integration design, tuning results, explainability, and production-readiness trade-offs.
  • Financial crime domain expertise. You understand AML, transaction monitoring, sanctions, KYC, fraud, or related compliance platforms and the operational workflows they support.
  • Model risk and regulatory experience. You have owned regulator-facing evidence aligned to SR 11-7, SS1/23, or equivalent frameworks without close supervision.
  • Commercial judgment. You have negotiated scope and timelines with senior stakeholders and managed trade-offs within fixed-price contracts, vendor relationships, or partner arrangements.
  • Executive communication skills. You can lead steering committee conversations and write precise risk memos, validation summaries, and status materials that senior leaders rely on.
  • A record of leadership without authority. You can align global, cross-functional teams, resolve competing priorities, and make most delivery decisions within your mandate.
  • An AI-first mindset. You use AI as a practical delivery tool while applying sound judgment to data protection, privacy, governance, and human approval requirements.

Strong candidates may also have

  • End-to-end delivery experience with SensaAI, NetReveal, or another financial crime platform.
  • Experience running transaction monitoring tuning, sanctions list refresh, alert-quality benchmarking, or parallel-run activities.
  • PMP plus SAFe Program Consultant, Prince2, or an equivalent program delivery certification.
  • CAMS or another relevant AML or financial crime certification.
  • Experience deploying AI or analytics across on-premise, private cloud, or hybrid bank environments with strict security and data residency requirements.
  • Experience building AI accelerators, tuning patterns, or model risk evidence templates reused by other teams.
  • Experience leading programs across regions and working with global enterprise clients.
  • Prior people leadership or a strong record of developing Technical Project Managers into broader roles.
