As a pilot car driver, you ride ahead of and behind oversize loads: wind turbine blades, transformers, heavy machinery, and the rest of what heavy haul has to offer, clearing the way across North America. We run nationwide, coast to coast, and into Canada. You're the eyes of the convoy. First to see the low bridge, the tight turn, the problem before it happens. You are the problem solver who keeps the load safe.
At work, you'll drive a newer GMC Denali or Ram Laramie Longhorn, with Duramax and Cummins diesel engines. At night, you will sleep in a motel room provided by the company!
Guaranteed pay: $3,000 to $5,000 a month, depending on experience. No deadhead miles on your dime. No waiting by the phone. Slow week? You still get paid.
This is the foot in the door. We train you. Every trainee starts with a WA PEVO certification, paid for by the company. You'll learn the trucking industry from the inside: the routes, the loads, the people, without spending a dime on CDL school. Plenty of our drivers go on to get a CDL and run the big trucks in our fleet.
What you need: a clean record, a valid license, and the willingness to work. No experience required. Women and veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
The rules are simple: no pets, pass a drug test, no smoking in the trucks, and no DUI, drug, theft, or DV convictions.
