CDL-A Heavy Haul Driver - Specialized / Oversize (Hudson, CO)
Operate Kenworth heavy-haul tractors and specialized trailers (RGN, dual-lane, Faymonville modular/telescopic, schnable, lowboy, step deck, jeep/booster) on permitted OS/OW freight. Not drop-and-hook van work. Driver owns the move: route, permits, escorts, site access, securement, customer contact.
Do the job: pre/post trips; couple jeeps, boosters, flip axles and dollies; run permitted routes (height, width, bridges, curfews); work lead/chase by CB; chain and recheck at 50 miles; work with crane crews on load-on/off; keep ELD, permits, tickets and trip sheets clean; must be a team leader who can communicate clearly and effectively.
Need: Class A + current med card; 5 years tractor-trailer, 3+ years heavy haul/lowboy/RGN/oversize weighted hard; clean MVR (no DUI 10 years, no reckless driving, DV or Theft); DOT drug screen; can chain and work mountain night moves.
Want: Faymonville / dual-lane / schnable time; TWIC or passport; rigger awareness; Mountain West, Midwest & Texas experience; stick-shift on a heavy tractor.
