Associate Buyer
Pay: $16–18/hr
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Pryor, OK
Purpose of Position
The Associate Buyer will perform entry-level purchasing functions and assist with procurement processes to build skills in the full purchasing cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requisitions to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Create and process purchase orders efficiently.
- Award bids and establish effective communication with suppliers.
- Track and monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays.
- Maintain comprehensive purchasing records and address procurement issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal departments, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order flow.
- Support department projects and complete data entry tasks as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience.
- Proficient in administrative and clerical tasks, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- Strong communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in an environment with interruptions.
