NOW HIRING: CNC MACHINIST – Direct Hire
Pay: $25.00 – $33.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join a growing manufacturing team. This position offers competitive pay, long-term stability, and opportunities for career advancement.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup and Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
- In-Process Quality Inspection: Preform first-piece layout, in-process dimensional verification, and final inspection using precision metrology instruments
- Rigging & Material Handling: safely rig, hoist, load, and position large, heavy casting workpieces onto machine fixtures and rotary tables using overhead cranes, hoists, and specialized lifting hardware
- Tooling and fixture management: Select, install, align, and pre-set specialized carbide cutting tools, boring bars, end mills, face mills, and custom fixtures; monitor tool wear and replace tooling proactively to prevent workpiece scrap
- Process Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve machining anomalies, chatter, tool deflection, and dimensional variances; implement root-cause corrective adjustments in collaboration with machine shop leadership and engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience
- Experience operating CNC Mills and CNC Lathes
- Trade school training may be considered in place of some experience
- Experience performing quality inspections using precision measuring instruments
- Experience with rigging, material handling, and overhead cranes preferred
- CNC programming experience not required
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Ability to safely handle and position large, heavy workpieces using lifting equipment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around machinery and moving equipment
- Ability to work overtime and additional hours as needed
