What You’ll Do
- Operate a CDL-A flatbed truck on local delivery routes.
- Transport steel products safely and efficiently.
- Secure loads using chains and straps.
- Perform seasonal tarping during winter months and inclement weather as needed.
- Complete all deliveries and return the same day.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow DOT regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate delivery and transportation documentation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 22 years of age.
- At least 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Minimum 9 months of recent tractor-trailer flatbed experience within the last 3 years.
- Experience securing loads with chains and straps required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily route responsibilities.
Driving Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
- Clean MVR.
- No more than 3 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years.
- No DUI, reckless driving, or other serious driving violations within the past 5 years.

What You Will Do
As a Class A local Flatbed Driver you will safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight on local routes while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. You will inspect equipment before and after each trip, complete transportation documentation, communicate with dispatch and customers, secure freight when required, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to safe driving practices.
