The Material Handler role is responsible for ensuring efficient flow of materials and products within the production environment. The individual will operate forklifts, perform basic crane operations, and assist with material flow for production.
Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for loading wooden CLT mats onto a machine, operating a forklift safely and efficiently, unloading mats from trucks and organizing them in the warehouse, and taking mats to different stations around the warehouse. Additional key responsibilities include unloading and loading shipments, maintaining organization within the warehouse, assisting with cycle counts, and ensuring materials are available where needed. This role plays a critical part in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse while adhering to safety protocols.
This role requires sitting or standing for extended periods and frequently lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs. The employee will need to crouch, kneel, reach, and occasionally climb to complete tasks. The role demands manual dexterity to handle tools and machinery with precision and clear communication with team members to maintain safety and efficiency in the production and warehouse areas.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
- 1 year of experience operating a forklift.
