Implement exterior automotive lighting product development projects from concept design through production launch. Design and develop mechanical systems, structures, and components for vehicle lighting products, including head lamps, tail lamps, and fog lamps, using CATIA V5 modeling software to ensure compliance with legal and customer specifications. Read, interpret, and review technical drawings, engineering schematics, and computer-generated design reports. Evaluate design feasibility, geometric dimensions, performance requirements, material selection, and manufacturing constraints. Identify mechanical issues affecting product performance and develop alternative engineering solutions to optimize design robustness and manufacturing efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support prototype creation, engineering design changes, and production readiness activities through Start of Production (SOP). Prepare, maintain, and update engineering specifications, component drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and design documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
