Design and develop high-voltage relay systems and other automotive electrical components, including electrical system architecture, electrical circuit design, and compliance with customer specifications, UL/IEC standards, and OEM technical requirements. Analyze Specification Requests (SR) and Statements of Requirements (SOR) to evaluate technical feasibility, product performance requirements, and validation strategies. Perform electromagnetic and thermal simulations using ANSYS Maxwell and Icepak to evaluate electrical performance, arc quenching characteristics, actuator operation, current-carrying capacity, and thermal behavior under varying operating conditions. Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including electrical design specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Participate in cross-functional engineering meetings to resolve technical issues, support product development activities, and coordinate engineering deliverables throughout the product development process. Analyze design failures, investigate electrical performance issues, identify root causes, and implement engineering solutions and design improvements to enhance product reliability, quality, and safety. Prepare technical reports, engineering analyses, and design documentation.
