THE ROLE
RMS is hiring dependable CDL drivers with a Passenger Endorsement to provide safe, reliable public transportation to our local community. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring successful completion of DOT screenings; some routes carry minimum-age and insurance-related requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to scheduled appointments
- Assist passengers boarding/exiting and operate wheelchair lifts
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections per company policy
- Maintain accurate trip and mileage records
- Communicate with dispatch and management as needed
- Keep vehicles clean and represent RMS professionally
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Valid CDL with Passenger Endorsement (if you do not have your P-endorsement, we will sponsor your training!)
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check
- Must be at least 21 (insurance requirement)
- Preferred: transportation/customer service experience, experience assisting passengers with mobility needs, CPR/First Aid certification
