About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a line cook. Line cooks need to be self motivated and able to multitask! Our kitchen is not the busiest but with football and basketball it can come in waves. You will need to be able to switch gears to handle the ups and down of business.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Prior experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare orders to spec and OUR qualifications
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills:
The required skills such as food safety knowledge and the ability to follow detailed instructions are essential for maintaining a hygienic and efficient kitchen environment. Physical stamina and organizational skills help in managing the demands of food preparation and kitchen maintenance throughout the shift. Preferred skills like culinary techniques and equipment familiarity enhance the quality and speed of food production. Effective communication and teamwork skills are used daily to coordinate with chefs and service staff, ensuring smooth operations and timely order completion.
