Part-Time Janitor Job Type: Part-Time Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (15 hours/week) Pay: $20.00/hour Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Janitor to maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our client's facility. Working a consistent morning shift (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Monday–Friday), you will ensure offices, common spaces, and restrooms are properly cleaned and restocked before daily operations get fully underway.
Key Responsibilities
- Restroom Sanitization: Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms daily (sinks, toilets, mirrors, counters, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet paper).
- Waste & Recycling Removal: Empty trash bins, replace liners, and transport waste/recycling to exterior disposal bins.
- Floor Care: Sweep, vacuum, and damp-mop hard surface floors and carpeted areas in hallways, offices, break rooms, and entryways.
- Surface Cleaning & Dusting: Wipe down high-touch points (door handles, light switches, railings), conference tables, countertops, and office furniture.
- Break Room & Common Areas: Sanitize sink areas, wipe exterior appliances, clean tables, and maintain general order.
- Supply Monitoring: Track cleaning supply inventory and notify management when paper products, soaps, or chemicals are running low.
- Facility Security: Ensure supply closets, doors, and designated facility entry points are locked and secure at the end of each shift.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping preferred, but not required.
- Punctuality & Reliability: Ability to consistently arrive on time for the daily 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM schedule.
- Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and empty trash receptacles up to 30–40 lbs unassisted.
- Independence: Strong self-starter who can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Safety Awareness: Familiarity with basic cleaning chemicals and proper handling/dilution procedures.
