Para Professional - Pleasanton Public Schools
Pleasanton Public Schools is seeking a caring, dependable Para Professional to support students and teachers in a positive learning environment. This is a full-time classified staff position.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, preparation of materials, and supervision of students.
- Provide individual and small-group support under the direction of the teacher and appropriate school staff.
- Help students follow routines, participate in learning, and develop independence.
- Support student safety, behavior, and communication while following district plans and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and communicate professionally with staff and families.
- Assist with other student support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Patient, reliable, organized, and able to build positive relationships with students.
- Able to follow teacher direction, work as part of a team, and adapt to student needs.
- Experience working with children is helpful; training can be provided.
- Willingness to meet any applicable district and state requirements for the assignment.
