Job Description
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the thermal management program across coolant, refrigeration, and HVAC/climate subsystems from concept through vehicle launch. Develop and maintain integrated program plans, ensuring thermal engineering activities remain aligned with overall vehicle program timing and milestones. Track critical-path deliverables, monitor key program gateways, and proactively escalate timing risks to stakeholders and leadership. Serve as the primary liaison between Thermal Engineering and cross-functional teams including vehicle program management, product development, manufacturing, purchasing, and supply chain. Coordinate with suppliers, Design & Release Engineers, and sourcing teams to manage prototype timing, quotations, tooling, industrialization efforts, and hardware readiness. Drive build and test readiness by aligning prototype vehicles, validation activities, test facilities, and thermal engineering resources with program schedules. Manage project budgets, resource plans, and schedule performance to ensure on-time and on-budget execution. Identify technical, schedule, supplier, and resource risks, developing mitigation plans and driving issues to closure. Prepare and deliver program status updates, leadership reviews, decision materials, and cross-functional communications. Facilitate technical and strategic decision-making by ensuring engineering teams present clear options, tradeoffs, and recommendations. Champion program management best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives across the thermal engineering organization.
