Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Research Software Engineer specializing in Robotics & Simulation to develop software solutions supporting advanced AI, robotics, and data science initiatives. This role has the potential candidate working directly on cutting-edge research projects ranging from short-term engagements to large-scale, multi-year programs. The ideal candidate combines strong academic and industry experience with a passion for building scalable, open-source software that accelerates scientific research and innovation across diverse domains.
$150,000/yr to $200,000/yr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Skills and Requirements
- Masters in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Bioinformatics with strong scientific computing and/or mathematics background. (Bachelors if experience can substitute properly for (degree 2+ years))
- Expert-level knowledge of multiple modern AI/ML, vision, NLP, bioinformatics and/or mathematical or computational libraries.
- Expert-level knowledge with, Nvidia ML software
- Proficient in Nvidia Issac robotics and simulation platforms
- Knowledge of optimization and GPU acceleration of simulations.
- Experience with fluid dynamics or biomechanics simulations
- Expert-level knowledge in CUDA GPU
