Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, OT Engineering, Network Engineering, or Platform Engineering Experience supporting Operational Technology (OT), ICS, SCADA, Critical Infrastructure, Datacenter Operations, or highly regulated environments Strong understanding of network architecture, communications analysis, and data flow mapping Experience with asset discovery, network visibility, and passive monitoring technologies Ability to analyze network traffic and identify OT/IT communications patterns Experience integrating security, monitoring, or operational platforms into enterprise environments Understanding of cybersecurity monitoring workflows and incident detection processes Experience performing technical validation and troubleshooting of cybersecurity controls Knowledge of network segmentation, system dependencies, and architecture documentation Ability to develop remediation recommendations based on security findings Experience collaborating across cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Operational Technology Senior Engineer / Platform Engineer for a major federal cybersecurity initiative supporting the Social Security Administration. This individual will play a key role in establishing visibility across a mission-critical operational technology environment by supporting passive asset discovery, architecture development, communications analysis, and platform integration efforts within a datacenter environment. The ideal candidate combines strong networking, cybersecurity, and systems engineering expertise with the ability to map complex data flows, analyze communications patterns, and validate technical implementations. This role will work closely with cybersecurity architects, infrastructure teams, and program leadership to improve operational visibility, strengthen security monitoring, and develop remediation strategies for identified risks. The position offers the opportunity to help build foundational OT cybersecurity capabilities within a highly visible federal program while influencing future monitoring and platform decisions.
Pay range for this position is $65/hr - $75/hr
