Job Description
A large hospital system is seeking a Clinical Research Lab Technician to join its PK/PD and Biomarker Processing Lab. This team supports 150+ active clinical trials across multiple therapeutic areas and is responsible for processing, storing, and preparing clinical trial samples for shipment to third-party laboratories.
This is not a diagnostic or testing laboratory. The team does not run analyzers or perform testing on the samples. Instead, samples collected from clinical trial participants are processed according to study- and sponsor-specific protocols and then shipped to designated third-party laboratories for testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Process clinical research samples including whole blood, plasma, urine, stool, PK, and biomarker samples. Centrifuge, aliquot, and prepare samples according to study-specific protocols and sponsor requirements. Prepare basic reagents and perform dilutions as required by study protocols. Follow sponsor- and CRO-specific laboratory manuals and sample processing instructions. Manage refrigerated and frozen sample storage and ensure samples are maintained at the appropriate temperature. Determine whether samples require immediate shipment or should be stored for scheduled/batch shipments based on study protocols. Package and prepare clinical trial samples for shipment to third-party laboratories. Assemble and manage sponsor-provided sample collection and processing kits. Maintain accurate sample inventory and documentation. Support sponsor/CRO monitoring visits and respond to lab-related inquiries. Work within a high-volume environment supporting 150+ active clinical trials, where accuracy and adherence to protocol are critical.
Equipment used may include centrifuges, freezers, refrigerators, scales, chemical hoods, and biosafety cabinets.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM-10:00 PM
