Required Skills & Experience
Mid-level cybersecurity experience, ideally supporting lab, operational technology, or controlled environments. Hands-on cybersecurity architecture experience, including security design and implementation. Lab and/or operational technology security experience. Experience supporting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environments or similarly regulated environments. Experience with Varonis administration or operations. Experience supporting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programs. Ability to create and maintain security architecture and data flow diagrams.
Experience implementing security controls such as:
Network segmentation Firewall requests/rules Jump boxes or secure administrative access System access controls Experience with removable media security, including inventory, storage, and access controls. Experience with asset sanitization / secure data destruction processes. Experience supporting disaster recovery and security requirements. Experience managing system access requests and access-control processes. Must be able to work onsite in Niskayuna, NY.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience designing or securing a CUI lab or secure enclave. Experience implementing cross-domain solutions that allow lab assets to interact securely with a CUI enclave. Experience aligning lab or operational technology environments with enterprise cybersecurity policies and standards. Experience with new program intake, including evaluating cybersecurity requirements for new systems, programs, or lab environments. Experience owning or helping manage a Varonis program beyond day-to-day operations. Experience coordinating security requirements across lab teams, infrastructure teams, network teams, and cybersecurity stakeholders. Experience supporting security in environments where IT and operational technology systems intersect.
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an onsite cybersecurity resource located in Niskayuna, NY to support Lab and Operational Technology (OT) security initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Assisting with onboarding and intake of new CUI programs
- CUI Lab cybersecurity design support
- OT/Lab security management to align with corporate standards and policies
- Firewall request coordination
- Network segmentation support
- Jump-box configuration and oversight
- Varonis platform operations and administration
- Architecture and data flow diagram development and maintenance
- Asset sanitization processes
- Removable media inventory and access control management
- Disaster Recovery support
- System access request administration
- Cross-domain solution coordination for lab assets connected to Secure CUI Enclaves
pay rate: 40 - 45/hr based on expereince
