Job Description:
Insight Global’s client, an industry leading investment bank, is seeking a strong full stack engineer with hands-on experience in Java, React, MongoDB, SQL/NoSQL, and microservices. This engineer will join a Global Investment Research division, contributing to cloud platform development, data systems, research tooling, and overall technology strategy. The candidate will be placed on one of three core teams, Analytics, Publishing, or CRM, depending on skill alignment. The ideal hire can ramp up quickly with minimal guidance, operates with high independence, and is delivery-focused.
Must haves:
- 2–6 years of experience as a Java engineer in a large enterprise environment
- 2 years of React/TypeScript/JavaScript experience
- Microservices experience using Spring Boot
- Proficiency with MongoDB and SQL/NoSQL, including writing efficient queries and understanding data storage patterns
- Experience with Kafka for reliable, asynchronous event streaming and service decoupling
- Containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
Pluses:
- Financial services experience
Additional Info:
- Preference for Java 17/21 experience
- Role is primarily back-end focused (approx. 70/30 split)
