Day-to-Day
- Manage renovation and tenant improvement projects from kickoff through completion
- Supervise carpenters, painters, and support personnel performing remodel work
- Coordinate subcontractors and outside vendors
- Review drawings, establish schedules, and allocate manpower/resources
- Track project budgets, labor hours, materials, and overall job costs
- Inspect work for quality, safety, and code compliance
- Maintain project documentation, inventories, and reporting
- Train and mentor shop personnel while supporting hiring and performance management activities
Skills and Requirements
Must Haves
- 5+ years of construction supervision or foreman experience
- Hands-on background in commercial remodeling, renovations, or tenant improvements
- Experience managing field crews (carpenters, painters, laborers, maintenance personnel)
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience scheduling projects, assigning manpower, and managing multiple jobs simultaneously
- Knowledge of construction methods, building codes, life safety, and ADA/accessibility requirements
- Experience tracking project costs, labor, materials, and budgets
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Valid driver's license Plusses
- Commercial background preferred
- Custom millwork or cabinet-building experience
- Experience overseeing both self-perform and subcontracted work
- Background in healthcare, education, government, or large commercial campuses
- Experience with employee training, hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions
