Job Duties
Genesis10 is currently seeking an Internal Controls Auditor (SOX) for a remote contract position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Minnesota. This is a 4-month contract opportunity.
Compensation: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
The Internal Controls department is looking for an individual to execute process and transaction walk-throughs to validate SOX compliance. This role involves interviewing business unit personnel, documenting processes, and evaluating key controls to ensure processes remain in compliance. Guidance and support will be provided to the new team member.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute process and transaction walk-throughs to validate processes remain in compliance with SOX objectives
- Conduct interviews of business unit personnel to document their process and assess for SOX controls
- Evaluate key controls with control owners to identify any changes based on a change in business process
- Walk through a transaction to document the start-to-finish and which controls support the process
Primary Requirements:
- Experience performing internal or external audits
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and listen to business unit contacts
- Excellent documentation skills, able to take notes and document processes concisely and neatly
- Analytical ability to assess data files and summarize/pivot to draw conclusions
