Job Duties
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Engineering Recruiter for a remote, direct hire opportunity.
Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 per year, W2, depending on commissions and performance
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in engineering recruiting to mentor and lead a shared-service engineering recruiting team supporting multiple business units. This is a hands-on recruiting leadership position that will involve full-cycle recruiting while guiding the team's priorities and performance. This role offers a path to a Recruiting Manager position as the business grows, with the opportunity to help establish engineering recruiting as a broader service offering across Genesis10.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit engineering professionals across mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, and related disciplines
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, from creative sourcing and candidate engagement through interviews, offers, and placements
- Lead and mentor a small team of recruiters, helping improve their sourcing, candidate qualification, and overall recruiting effectiveness
- Help prioritize recruiting efforts, balance workloads, and ensure the team delivers on client expectations for speed, quality, and volume
- Partner and build trust with sales teams across multiple business units to understand client needs, lead intake discussions, and develop recruiting approaches tailored to different clients and sales models
- Support a diverse mix of recruiting needs, including exclusive executive-level engineering searches, contingent hiring, contract and contract-to-hire, staffing, and large-volume MSP programs
- Track recruiting activity and results, communicate progress, and identify opportunities to improve team performance
Primary Requirements:
- 5+ years of engineering recruiting experience in a staffing agency environment and considered a subject matter expert in engineering recruiting
- Deep knowledge of traditional engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, chemical, industrial, manufacturing, and related specialties
- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of four or more recruiters, whether in a formal team lead role or an informal leadership capacity
- Demonstrated ability and desire to remain a productive, hands-on recruiter while guiding and supporting others
- Ability to adapt recruiting strategies and delivery approaches to a wide range of client needs, from exclusive, executive-level permanent searches to high-volume MSP programs
- Ability to partner effectively with different sales professionals and teams, adapting to their individual approaches, priorities, and client relationships while balancing the needs of multiple business units
- Experience working with recruiting metrics, service-level expectations, and client delivery performance
- Organized, independent, and self-directed, with the judgment to prioritize competing demands and drive results without significant day-to-day oversight
