Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, including cleaning, laundry, and disinfecting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and teamwork
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and other resources
- Perform regular inspections of resident rooms and units to ensure sanitation, order, and safety
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, and staff
Working Conditions
- Works in all areas of the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities
- May be required to work beyond normal working hours, including weekends and holidays
- Is subject to frequent interruptions, hostile and emotionally upset residents, and exposure to chemicals and infectious waste
- Must be able to lift, bend, and move intermittently during working hours
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
- Must maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas and perform regular inspections of resident rooms and units
