Duties & Responsibilities
- Negotiate directly with creditors and collection agencies on behalf of our clients.
- Own your pipeline - manage a queue of client accounts, hitting monthly production goals that keep the department (and your paycheck) strong.
- Develop strategic settlement approaches based on each client's financial situation.
- Work toward favorable settlement agreements while protecting the client's interests.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow company processes and compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple negotiations while consistently meeting performance and productivity goals.
Qualifications
Debt settlement experience not required - we will train the right person.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- A high degree of initiative with the ability to meet and exceed monthly goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Compensation & Incentives
DebtBlue Debt Settlement Negotiators are paid on an hourly + uncapped variable model, built to reward production without a ceiling:
- Hourly pay - $20/hour, paid biweekly.
- Monthly bonus - tiered structure based on monthly production.
- Average earnings - $65,000–$75,000/year. Top performers earn $90,000+.
- Overtime opportunities available
