Controller - Los Angeles – International Entertainment company Controllership opportunity to join an international entertainment company in Los Angeles. Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Work directly with CEO, CFO, COO and sales teams to develop new initiatives, controls, and processes to enable the business to succeed and grow
- Responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly deliverables to management and the corporate parent group, including full set of financial statements, KPIs, cash flow projections, market analysis and commentaries
- Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable teams
- Prepare consolidated financial statements to ensure transactions and consolidations are properly reflected and in accordance with GAAP
- Perform month-end account close procedures and reconciliations for various domestic and international entities
- Prepare general ledger entries and provide proper supporting documentation for annual audit ?
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data. ?
- Prepare annual budget and track company performance against budget
- Implement new accounting policies and procedures
- Ad-hoc reports as requested ?
Requirements of the Controller: ?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline ?
- CPA required; prior experience in public accounting preferred
- 7+ years of total financial accounting experience
- Advanced systems skills are required ?
- Detail-oriented with willingness and ability to work directly with management and ensure accurate reporting, while also thinking strategically at a high level ?
- Exceptionally strong Excel skills including v-lookups, pivot tables ?
- Excellent interpersonal skills ?
- Entertainment industry experience a plus
