Develops daily or weekly production schedule to ensure that production deadlines are met. Determines material, equipment, and labor requirements. Prepares status and performance reports and resolve production issues.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Reviews purchase orders to create suitable production schedule. Estimates the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production. Addresses and resolves production issues related to schedule or order flow to minimize delays in production. Coordinates production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability. Recommends viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality. Makes changes in production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. Compiles status and performance reports. Submits them to management in a timely manner. Informs relevant departments of changes to current production schedules. Maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
Experience & Education:
- BA in business or similar major is preferred
- 2 years production planning in a manufacturing company with at least 1 in a lead or the top role is desired
- US work authorization (Required)
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
