CGI is seeking a Senior AWS Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to improve the reliability, resiliency, observability, and performance of large scale applications and infrastructure running in AWS. This is a senior, hands on engineering role focused on implementing SRE practices, infrastructure automation, observability, CI/CD, and production reliability within a complex financial services environment.
The engineer will work across a broad AWS ecosystem and use Terraform, Python or Java, Jenkins, GitLab, Splunk, SignalFx, OpenTelemetry, and related technologies to automate infrastructure and operational processes. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, strengthening application performance monitoring and distributed tracing, improving resilience and recovery capabilities, and supporting high impact production incidents and releases.
