We are seeking Substitute Special Education Paraprofessionals to join our team and provide valuable support to students with diverse learning needs. These rewarding, flexible positions offer the opportunity to work alongside special education teachers in a supportive classroom environment, helping students build confidence and develop essential skills, all within a flexible schedule that you set. What You'll Do: • Provide direct instructional and individualized support to students under the guidance of a special education teacher. • Assist with classroom activities, small-group instruction, and daily learning routines. • Support students in developing academic, social, behavioral, and independent living skills. • Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. • Supervise and assist students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school routines. • Prepare and organize instructional materials and classroom resources. • Assist with student progress monitoring and data collection. • Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support student success. • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities as needed. What We’re Looking For: • Must hold or be eligible for appropriate Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) licensure. • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. • Ability to work independently while following teacher direction and established classroom procedures. • Willingness to learn and apply effective special education and classroom management strategies. • Ability to maintain student confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism. • Ability to provide physical assistance and respond to students' needs throughout the school day. • Reliable transportation to assigned work locations.
