We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.
- As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will help define Blue Origin's Human Landing System (HLS) - the lander that will carry astronauts to the surface of the Moon and return them safely to Orion. This is a dual-hatted role on the System Definition & Certification team. On one side you ensure program technical needs are successfully executed - gathering and integrating input across the vehicle teams and carrying it to the organizations that build and operate that supporting infrastructure and driving those projects to cost and schedule while keeping the program's technical engine running: reviews well-executed, data organized and accessible, progress visible and executable. On the other you contribute to the requirements, safety, and verification baseline that proves the vehicle is safe to fly crew. Emphasis shifts between the two as program priorities ebb and flow, so this role suits someone energized by both and comfortable moving between them. Both halves reward the same instinct: we favor lean, tool-driven workflows over moving data by hand, and we would rather build the tool that removes the busywork than staff it. You will be the person who makes technical status legible to leadership and helps mold the baseline that status is measured against.

- Develop the technical requirements that major program projects must meet - translating what the vehicles need from the ground systems, test capabilities, and supporting infrastructure into clear requirements - by gathering and integrating input across the vehicle teams, and serving as the flight-side interface that carries those requirements to the organizations that deliver them
