The Town of Berlin is seeking a dependable and friendly Backup Council on Aging Van Driver to provide transportation for Berlin’s older residents on an as-needed basis. The position is responsible for safely transporting passengers to appointments, programs, shopping, and other destinations in Berlin and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate will be reliable, patient, safety-conscious, and comfortable assisting older adults, including passengers who use wheelchairs. Applicants must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record and be able to successfully complete a background check. CPR certification is required; however, the Town is willing to provide CPR certification training for the right candidate.
