Eligibility/Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background
screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and
fingerprinting.
This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security
clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the
U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows:
- U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories)
for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless
they meet certain exceptions).
- Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S.
Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3
years.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field,
preferred but not required.
- NOTE: If resources do not have a relevant college degree, an
additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
List of tasks to be performed:
- 8+ years relevant experience
- Provides technical guidance in defining system and enterprise-level
requirements and designing Delivery & Retail Technologies (DRT).
Facilitates the collection of technical requirements from system
owners to ensure successful integration across platforms. Develop
technology designs as required and provide ongoing technical support
throughout the development, including leading technical review
sessions, overseeing testing and certification activities, and
supporting deployment.
- Provides technical guidance in defining system and enterprise-level
requirements and designing Delivery & Retail Technologies (DRT).
Facilitates the collection of technical requirements from system
owners to ensure successful integration across platforms.
- Develop technology designs as required and provide ongoing technical
support throughout the development, including leading technical
review sessions, overseeing testing and certification activities,
and supporting deployment.
- Develops enterprise-level technology and process architectures for
Deliver and Retail domains, applying industry best practices to
reduce USPS total cost of ownership.
- Provides independent business and technical analysis of task orders
- including software development tasks – issued to other suppliers.
Develops level-of-effort (LOE) and rough order of magnitude (ROM)
estimates to validate supplier proposals and ensure appropriate
schedules, resources, and costs are proposed.
