Tube Laser Operator Pay: Up to $28.00/Hour to Start Based on Experience Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for experienced machine operators who understand production processes, blueprint reading, quality inspection, and precision measurements. Direct tube laser experience is not required. Candidates with experience operating CNC machines, saws, fabrication equipment, or other industrial machinery are encouraged to apply.The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with calipers and micrometers, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate tube laser cutting equipment and other production machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings.
- Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products using forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments to maintain quality and production standards.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate larger concerns to maintenance or leadership.
- Utilize computer systems to access work orders, enter production information, print labels, and scan materials.
- Grind, finish, label, package, and stage completed products for shipment.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience operating CNC equipment, production machinery, metal cutting saws, fabrication equipment, or similar industrial machinery.
- Forklift and/or overhead crane experience.
- Background in metal fabrication, machining, manufacturing, or production environments.
Work Environment
- Non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing and distribution facility.
- PPE required, including steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility apparel.
- Exposure to moving equipment, overhead lifting operations, and industrial noise.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
