SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Quality Control Inspector’s primary function is to ensure quality requirements are met per customer, company, and industry standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Dimensional Inspection of machined parts
- Verify identification marking is per requirements
- Document nonconformance
- Perform hardness testing per work instructions
- Stamp marking requirements per work instructions
- Perform Liquid Penetrant inspection per PC procedures
- Assist QA with maintenance of quality records
- Perform source inspection of machined part
- Stamping parts as needed
- Assist engineering with dimensional inspection of R & D components
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Good visual acuity
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient with inspection hand tools (Micrometers, depth mics, etc.)
- Knowledge of a mid-market ERP system (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft office products
- Good shop math skills
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Good work ethic, attendance, reliability and able to work under stress in a fast pace environment
- Read and write English, bi-lingual Spanish is a plus
