Metal Polisher (1st shift)

About the Metal Polisher Position at WALCO:
Metal polishing of stainless steel weldments to blend welds and establish grain directions. Deburring sharp machined edges of stainless steel, common steel, aluminum, and plastic materials. Stamping part numbers on parts. Assembling machined components to customer's specifications. Packaging parts to prevent damage in shipment. Keep work area clean and organized.
What we are looking for:
- 2+ years of relevant experience:
- Using hand held power tools to polish stainless steel weldments to establish a grain direction.
- Blending and polishing welds to #4 food grade requirements.
- Using deburring tools such as files and abrasive products
- Ability to read blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly
- Demonstrates self motivation, strong work ethic and a desire to learn
- Desire to work with your hands and have pride in a job well done
- Must be able to physically lift/push/pull objects up to 40 lbs.

Compensation and schedule:
- 1st shift hours Monday – Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
- $21-24 per hour, based on experience
