About VIATechnik:
VIATechnik is on a mission to lead the built environment in creating a better future, today. We are one team of over 500 digital experts around the globe. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed architects, engineers, tradespersons, researchers, and business leaders. Together, we empower clients through high-quality, high-velocity experiences that consistently improve outcomes across the design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure. Our clients include Amazon, Mars Wrigley, and National Geographic, the firms shaping the world's most ambitious projects.
Role Overview
VIATechnik is transforming how complex buildings and infrastructure are designed, coordinated, and delivered. We're seeking a VDC Engineer who thrives at the intersection of technology, engineering, and construction. This is someone who can turn complex multidisciplinary models into coordinated, constructible, and data-driven project outcomes.
This is not a back-office modeling role. You will be a key driver of digital execution across high-profile projects, partnering with clients, global delivery teams, designers, and contractors to ensure that BIM and VDC efforts translate into real-world impact.
If you're passionate about improving how projects are delivered and want to grow into a trusted digital leader, this role offers a true career move.
What You'll Do
Lead BIM & VDC Coordination on Complex Projects
You will coordinate and manage multidisciplinary BIM models across architectural, structural, and MEP systems using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and Civil3D. You'll run and lead clash detection processes, facilitate resolution discussions, and ensure models are constructible, sequenced properly, and aligned with project milestones.
Serve as a Trusted Client Interface
You'll act as a primary point of contact for BIM and VDC coordination activities, presenting digital deliverables and translating technical coordination into business-relevant insights. Your ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and proactively address concerns will directly influence client satisfaction and repeat engagement.
Improve How Digital Delivery Happens
We expect you to think beyond execution. In your first year, you'll identify and implement meaningful process improvements - whether through workflow standardization, automation, enhanced reporting, or AI-supported coordination techniques - that improve efficiency, clarity, and project outcomes.
Drive Alignment Across Global Teams
You'll collaborate closely with internal global delivery teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that expectations, risks, and next steps are aligned. Strong organizational skills and proactive communication will be essential as you manage multiple projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Contribute to Thought Leadership & Capability Building
At VIATechnik, digital excellence is a team effort. You'll contribute to internal knowledge sharing, support training initiatives, and help strengthen our BIM and VDC capabilities across the organization.
What Makes This a Career Move
This role offers exposure to some of the most complex and high-profile projects in the AEC industry - giving you the opportunity to expand your technical depth while growing as a project leader and client-facing professional.
You'll work alongside industry-leading technologists and engineers, gaining hands-on experience with advanced BIM workflows, automation, and emerging AI-enabled digital delivery tools. For high performers, this position accelerates growth in technical mastery, leadership influence, and long-term career trajectory.
What Success Looks Like After One Year
- You've successfully led BIM and VDC coordination on multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordination issues during construction have decreased due to your leadership.
- Clients trust you as a reliable digital partner.
- You've implemented at least two measurable improvements in digital delivery efficiency or clarity.
- You see this role as a clear step forward in your long-term career with VIATechnik.
Who Thrives in This Role
