Schedule, Pay & Benefits
- Full-time, year-round position; Utah Olympic Park operates 363 days a year, and this team is often first in and last out to make that possible
- Shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.; availability for weekends and holidays required
- Winter season requires early starts, with a minimum of two team members beginning at 6:00 a.m. for 8-hour snow removal shifts
- Pay starts at $20/hr, up to $24/hr, depending on experience
- Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 403(b) and HSA with company match
- Employee perks: free Gold Pass access, Bobsled Experience and Soldier Hollow tubing vouchers, ice skating at the Olympic Oval, plus discounts on retail, concessions, sports programs, and events
Why This Role
You'll join a Foundation team supporting Olympic hopefuls, youth athletes, and recreational guests training on world-class terrain and facilities, work you won't find at a typical maintenance job. Your manager builds a team around pride in craftsmanship and ownership, where every repair and every cleared path is recognized as part of the bigger mission. And the role itself keeps you moving: one day you're troubleshooting a mechanical issue, the next you're prepping the park for a major competition, so you're always learning new systems and building new skills.
Job Requirements
Must-Haves:
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge of general maintenance tasks and hand/power tools, with room to grow into more specialized systems
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to perform the physical demands of the role, including shoveling, lifting, and other strenuous activity outdoors in extreme temperatures, as this is an essential function of the job
Nice-to-Haves:
- Snow removal experience
- Plumbing experience
- Drywall repair or painting experience
- Strong communicator who works well as part of a team
Day in the Life
In summer, you're the reason the park runs smoothly during peak public hours: fixing a plumbing call, mowing and tending the grounds, prepping for an event, or managing parking for a Friday pool show. In winter, snow removal becomes priority one, from hand shoveling sidewalks to running snowblowers, plows, and heavier equipment, all before athletes and guests arrive. Every task, big or small, keeps training days possible and the park safe for everyone who walks through it.
About You at Utah Olympic Park
You take pride in your work because you know it matters. When you clear a path before sunrise or fix a system nobody sees, you're making it possible for an athlete to train and a guest to have a great day. You show up for your team the same way your team shows up for you, with reliability and a willingness to jump in wherever you're needed. You want to build real skills, take on new challenges, and be part of something bigger than a job description. That's what Excellence, Grit, and Community look like here.
If you want hands-on work with real purpose, a team that has your back, and the chance to support the next generation of winter athletes, this is your role. Apply today through this job posting or visit our careers page: https://utaholympiclegacy.org/careers/
