ABOUT US
A Specialty Path to Good Health
Upperline Health is the nation's largest provider group dedicated to lower extremity, wound and vascular care. Founded in 2017 with the ambitious goal of transforming specialty care, Upperline Health is a pioneer in bringing value-based care models into specialty care. Upperline delivers a more efficient path for patients to receive consistent and effective treatment for chronic illnesses.
Triage is temporary.
Treatment is transformative.
Upperline Health providers coordinate patients' care among a team of specialists -- physicians, advanced practice providers, care navigators, pharmacists, dieticians, and social workers for integrated treatment that addresses patients' immediate and long-term health needs.
We put patients at the center of value-based care.
About the Project Manager, Application and Delivery
We're looking for a Project Manager, Application and Delivery to own the full arc of technology delivery at Upperline Health, all the way from shaping requirements with stakeholders through shipping working software into production. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, clinical stakeholders, and data teams. Your work will be visible to, and directly impact, departmental and executive leadership, and the outcomes you own will make a real difference for our business and our patients.
What You'll Do
Own the Product Backlog and Requirements
- Own prioritization and scope tradeoffs for the product backlog
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements directly with stakeholders, and translate healthcare business needs into clear technical specifications
- Write user stories, process flows, and supporting documentation that engineering can execute against
- Drive gap analyses and recommend scalable process improvements
- Own UAT planning and execution and make the final call on go/no-go readiness before deployment
Lead Delivery for 1-2 Agile Teams
- Run all Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) and hold the team accountable to them
- Own end-to-end delivery for your team(s), including both facilitation and outcomes
- Remove blockers directly, escalating and negotiating on the team's behalf where needed
- Coach engineers and stakeholders on Agile principles and raise the bar on how the team works
- Track sprint progress, velocity, and deliverables (Jira or Azure DevOps)
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and direct feedback
Report and Represent Delivery to Leadership
- Prepare and present project status, risks, and delivery metrics to departmental and executive leadership
- Be the primary point of contact stakeholders and leadership go to for "where do things stand" on your team's work
- Use this visibility to build your own track record and relationships with leadership
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications of the Project Manager, Application and Delivery
- 5-7+ years of combined experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Delivery Manager in IT or product teams
- Healthcare experience required. Deep familiarity with clinical workflows, EMRs, healthcare operations, or value-based care is strongly preferred
- Track record of translating ambiguous business needs into technical deliverables without needing heavy oversight
- Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and owning a backlog
- Solid grasp of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and switching contexts across a single day; e.g., requirements gathering in the morning, unblocking an engineer at noon, framing a delay for leadership by end of day
- SQL experience a plus but not required
- Azure DevOps and Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) experience a plus but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills (you'll need to hold your own in a room with engineers and in a room with executives)
- Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent), PMI-ACP, or PMP preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
Why This Role
- Real ownership, not just facilitation. You'll make prioritization and scope calls, not just carry decisions made elsewhere
- Visibility that matters. Direct exposure to departmental and executive leadership, even on a small team
- Thriving in a fast-paced environment. You'll move quickly and lead delivery of solutions that make a real difference to the company and the patient experience
Benefits
Comprehensive benefit options include medical, dental and vision, 401K and PTO.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience
