We're growing our municipal water and wastewater team here in Albany and looking for an Associate Designer to support drawing production on infrastructure projects for municipal clients across the Capital District and greater NYS.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise plans, profiles, sections, and details for municipal water and wastewater projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D under the direction of engineers and senior designers
- Draft existing conditions, utility layouts, and record plans from survey data, field notes, and as-built records
- Maintain project drawing files, sheet sets, and office CAD standards
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and figures for engineering reports and cost estimates
- Support field investigations and data collection as needed
- Grow drafting and design skills through mentorship from senior design and engineering staff
Qualifications
- A.S. degree in CAD, drafting, civil engineering technology, or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school
- 0-4 years of drafting experience, civil/site or utility work preferred (internships count)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, with Civil 3D exposure preferred
- Attention to detail and the discipline to follow established CAD standards
- Valid driver's license in good standing
