Will provide general cleaning and floor care services using a variety of specialized chemicals and equipment. Performs custodial duties required for maintaining assigned rooms, equipment, buildings, and adjacent areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. Secures the rooms and building and performs related work as required.
Requirements
•Opens/secures the building, according to the daily schedule. •Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat, clean, and safe at all times. •Sweeps, scrubs, dusts, and otherwise cleans offices, hallways, lavatories, classrooms, cafeterias, media centers, multipurpose rooms, gymnasiums, locker rooms, and stairways. •Washes windows, walls, sinks, and fountains. •Follows inventory control procedures. •Performs emergency clean-up resulting from breakage, vandalism, spillage, or illness. •Safely operates a variety of custodial equipment. •Refinishes and seals floors, vacuums, and shampoos carpets. •Stores supplies and equipment in a neat, safe manner. •Accepts deliveries from vendors. Verifies contents of shipment received and forwards paperwork to facility manager’s office. •Sets up chairs, tables and other equipment for school performances and events. •When not engaged in custodial activities, may perform a variety of tasks within the facility or grounds. •Attends training sessions as assigned. •Removes snow and dispenses ice-melt as needed.
