Job Description
Construction Helper / Trainee - Part-Time
TH Ops NJ LLC, doing business as Trusted Hammer, is hiring a part-time helper or trainee to assist experienced technicians with home repairs, property maintenance, remodeling, and shed installations throughout Atlantic and Ocean counties.
This position is intended for someone interested in developing practical construction and maintenance skills while earning wages. Previous construction experience is helpful but not required. Applicants transitioning from hotel maintenance, other industries, military service, or vocational training are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and protect work areas and assist with job-site setup and cleanup.
- Organize, move, and prepare tools and materials safely.
- Assist experienced technicians with doors, windows, drywall, painting, trim, tile, sheds, and other repair or installation work.
- Learn proper measuring, tool use, installation methods, and quality standards under supervision.
- Follow safety instructions and communicate promptly about questions or problems.
- Help document job progress with notes and photographs.

Pay and scheduling
Base pay is $17–$20 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated skills. This is a part-time W-2 employee position. Training required for the job is paid.
Schedules depend on available projects and will be discussed before hiring. Additional production and quality bonuses may be available on designated projects, with eligibility and terms explained in advance.
Opportunities to advance into technician roles may become available based on demonstrated skills, performance, and business needs.
